At azimu.ai we process the following personal information categories when you use our Products:
1. Your personal information as a Customer or Potential Customer referred to as Customer Data
2. Personal information within your’s company’s systems (e.g. Jira, GitHub, Gitlab) referred to as Source Application Data
We process this information differently, which is explained below.
There are 2 key scenarios when we collect your personal information:
1. When you make a request to receive any information related to azimu.ai Product through our website or directly from our Sales/Support team;
2. When you create an azimu.ai account and use our Products
Personal information processed via these scenarios is called Customer Data
When azimu.ai processes Customer Data we act as a Controller.
Data protection or privacy laws in certain jurisdictions, like the European Economic Area (EEA), differentiate between “Controllers” and “Processors” of personal information. A Controller decides why and how to process personal information. A Processor processes personal information on behalf of a Controller based on the Controller’s instructions.
Generally, we use Customer Data to further our legitimate interests to:
1. Understand who our customers and potential customers are;
2. Manage our relationship with them;
3. Carry out core business operations e.g. Customer Support, Accounting, Tax, etc;
4. Provide respective access to our Products;
5. Understand Product usage and improve functionality.
azimu.ai public websites allow you to submit information requests via forms, ask to be contacted by our Team, sign up for our Blog or Newsletter, or take a Survey. The specific personal information requested within these forms will vary based on the purpose of the form. We will ask you for the information necessary for us to complete the request made via the form (for example, we will ask you for your email address if you want to sign up for an email newsletter or in order for our Sales team to contact you). We may also request additional information to address your request better like the company name or your position. If you sign up to receive any azimu.ai marketing newsletters as Blog or Product Updates you can always opt-out from the mentioned communication by clicking the Unsubscribe links in each message or contact our Support Team via email@example.com.
Also, if you get in contact with our sales representatives or Support Team, those teams keep a record of that communication, including your contact details and other information you share during the course of the communication. We use this information to address your inquiry and improve our Product and your experience with it. We take all appropriate actions to protect any sensitive information you share with us within the course of your inquiries and we kindly ask you to avoid providing any personal or sensitive information that is unnecessary for this inquiry.
When your company or you decide to run a Pilot or become our Customer we collect the information relating to your contact details, billing details so we can contact you and receive respective payments. Also, we ask for user names and roles so we can create respective Product Accounts for required individuals.
We also use your email address to send you information regarding the Product or other azimu.ai services, which we think are of interest to you. You can always unsubscribe/opt-out from the mentioned communication via the unsubscribe link in each message or by contacting our Support Team via firstname.lastname@example.org.
When you decide to become a paid customer we will collect respective billing information, like billing address, bank details, etc. so we can process the payments and tax issues.
We may collect some information about you as a potential customer or a customer from the publicly available sources like LinkedIn or through any third-party providers to help us understand our customers better e.g. your industry, company size, or company’s URL
We store your data as long as required to provide you with our services and carry our business on. If you ask us to delete specific personal information from your Customer Data via the request to our Support Team via email@example.com, we will honor this request unless deleting that information prevents us from carrying out necessary business functions, like billing for our services, investigating claims, incidents, or potential fraud, calculating taxes, conducting required audits, or as otherwise required by law.
We collect raw data from a number of applications your company is using in order to perform product development analysis and prepare metrics and actionable insights for you to improve your business operations. This information is called Source Application Data, which also includes personal information e.g. names and business email addresses.
As noted above, data protection or privacy law in certain jurisdictions, like the EEA, differentiate between “Controllers” and “Processors” of personal information. When we process Source Application Data, azimu.ai is acting as a Processor.
Which Source Application Data do we process
Azimu.ai is able to collect data from the following system types:
-Issues (e.g. Jira)
-Code (e.g. Gitlab)
-Meetings (e.g. Google Calendar)
-Issues’ comments meta-information (e.g. Slack)
In each case, we decide with you and your company which fields to have read-only access to. Usually, we collect for the minimum of the required information.
We don’t access free form fields like “Description” or “Message” content, rather we stick to meta-information and personally-identifiable information is limited to:
-Employee business email
We initially import Source Application history data and then update the data on a daily basis to reflect your actual business operations progress. We maintain and show you all your historical data within our Product to be able to provide you with the value of the analytics azimu.ai is aimed for unless you request a change in the history period storage or display.
You can ask to close your account and delete all your data via a request to our Support Team via a message to firstname.lastname@example.org and your account could be closed within 3 day period as well as the data could be deleted within the 30 days period.
We do not share or sell neither Customer nor Source Application Data with any third parties for their own marketing purposes unless you instruct us to.
We may share your Personal Information for the reasons disclosed to you at the time we collect it, with your consent, as well as in the following ways:
1. At your request, if you direct us to.
3. Sub-processors like AWS, which helps us with providing our services by hosting the infrastructure where we store some of the data we collect and provide access to you;
5. Aggregated or de-identified data. We might also share data with third parties if the data has been de-identified or aggregated in a way so it cannot be used to identify you or your company. This is information that has been combined with information about other users and analyzed or evaluated as a whole. For example, Aggregated Information may include a statement that says “Our research results demonstrate that companies having 10x faster development cycles grow the company 5x faster than the others with slower cycles”
We use all the required reasonable methods to protect your personal information as well as other data including but not limited to data encryption, secure authentication, etc. However, no data transmitted through the internet is 100% secure so despite the fact that we strive as much as we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transfer to of from our Products.
We respect the privacy of children. Our Products are not designed to attract an audience younger than 18, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 18. Please contact our Support Team via email@example.com if you believe we may have collected information from a person who is underage, and we will work to promptly delete it.
